The Perry Chamber of Commerce is proud to
produce the annual Dogwood Festival!
celebrating the 26th Anniversary, and are proud we have been named a Top 20 Event by
the Southeast Tourism Society.
April 11th through Sunday April 13th, 2014. The
Dogwood Festival has traditionally been comprised of a two day Arts and
Crafts exhibit in Downtown Perry. We are excited the expanded 3 day Dogwood
Festival will continue to feature a Hot Air
Balloon Rally and a Dock Dogs
Air Balloon Rally is
scheduled for Saturday, April 12th at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and
will feature 15 Hot Air Balloons offering tethered
rides, an entertainment stage hosting live music, kid’s activities, and
much more! The gates will open to the public at 4 pm and the Balloon Glow will take place at dusk. The event will
be $5 per person with children under 6 free.
The entertainment stage will
host everyone's favorite party band the
Dock Dogs Competition is being held in conjunction
with the Arts & Crafts Festival in front of the New Perry Hotel on
Main Street. For two days visitors are treated to beautiful
retrievers vying for points to enter the
Dock Dogs National Competition held in the fall each year. Delight in
this free entertainment which is fun for all ages!
